Predictability Over Responsiveness: What Six Months of Field Data Changed About Our Design
A talk about a result we did not want. We built an interface that adapted to the person using it, deployed it for six months, and found that the people who benefited most were the ones who turned the adaptation off. This is an account of why, and of what we would build instead.
